You will have your Invasive Native Scrub removed at a greatly reduced cost than current costs.
This reduction will vary depending on the density and type of your invasive native scrub i.e. the higher tonnage per hectare the less per tonne it costs us to remove it. We pay for the upfront costs of our staff costs to develop applications for the approvals process. However, we do sign an agreement with you and if you want to pull out we do expect to recover costs we have incurred on your behalf. This is all outlined in the agreement.
There are two main parts of the legal agreement we have with you.
Firstly, to recover costs we incur on your behalf if you wish to pull out before the agreement is completed. These costs can be vegetation survey costs, staff costs etc. They are fixed costs listed in the agreement so you know exactly what they are, there are no hidden surprises.
Secondly, once we have committed our resources and started harvesting the agreement is to guarantee we can complete the harvesting of the invasive native scrub as per the approvals.

The economics of harvesting a low value biomass spread over such a large area are fragile. The value of Invasive Native Scrub as a feedstock for electricity alone is too low to justify harvesting and transport.
It is only by economies of scale, by investing $millions and spending large amounts of time and money to develop higher value products can a profit be made. There are many unknowns and much research to be done.

We outline our process, codes of conduct, environmental protections and harvesting methods in our agreements. If we do not adhere to these you have a valid reason to end the agreement without penalty.
We are bound by Government approvals and legislation and frankly our operation is too big for us to risk everything by behaving badly.
We have a dedicated Harvesting Manager who is there to see everything runs smoothly and you are happy.
We expect to be harvesting on approximately 3 – 8 properties at a time. Each of those properties will be harvested over a minimum of 2 years. There are approximately 120 properties in the draw area of 75km radius of Cobar so it is going to take us time to get to each property. Sorry, we can only do so much. To maximise the return from such a low value resource we need to harvest in a range of areas to obtain a specific mix of invasive native scrub species for the value added products. Unfortunately, if your property has a dominance of invasive native scrub species we already have in abundance, it may take longer to get to you. We can be more definite in the application process. Yes. As long as your harvesting is undertaken with all of the correct Government approvals we will buy your invasive native scrub you deliver to us. Talk to us first so you know exactly what to bring on the truck so we will go over this with you once operational.
